His father, Jorge Messi, is currently under medical observation. However, his family has reassured fans, stating that he “is recovering and improving favorably.”

In this context, Mauricio Pochettino made a point of sending a message of support to the Argentine legend ahead of the United States’ match against Australia.

“He is going through a difficult family situation. I know him and his family well from our time together in Paris. I wish them all the best,” said the American head coach.
