Randal Kolo Muani underwent successful surgery on Monday after suffering a right-hand injury during Juventus’ 2-0 win over Atalanta.

An injury sustained against Atalanta

The French forward was injured during the first half but was able to continue playing until the 89th minute. He was then replaced by Lloyd Kelly. Examinations carried out after the match revealed a fracture of the proximal phalanx of the fifth finger on his right hand. Surgery was therefore necessary.

Juventus confirmed that the operation had gone well. The Italian club did not provide a precise recovery timeline, but indicated that Kolo Muani should be able to rejoin the squad quickly.

Kolo Muani already making an impact

Since returning to Turin, Kolo Muani has made six appearances since the start of the season. He particularly impressed in the Europa League against NEC Nijmegen, scoring a goal and providing an assist. He had also supplied the final pass in the move that led to Juventus’ goal against Sassuolo.

The international break has therefore come at a favourable time for the 27-year-old forward, who will be able to use this period to recover.
