Yesterday, Barça made the most of Real Madrid's slip-up earlier in the day against Mallorca (2-1) to strike a major blow in the title race. Barça claimed a crucial victory at the Metropolitano, defeating Atlético de Madrid 2-1.

This win brings the Blaugranas even closer to the title. With a 7-point cushion, the Catalans could soon start celebrating, with an early championship possibly on the cards—potentially clinched during El Clásico against Real Madrid (scheduled for May 10).
