Luka Modrić's future at Milan now hinges on several sporting guarantees, as the club also moves forward in strengthening its defense.

According to Sky Sport Italia, the Croatian midfielder has laid out three conditions to continue his adventure with AC Milan:

  • qualification for the Champions League
  • retention of Massimiliano Allegri
  • strong sporting ambition across all competitions

Under contract with an option, the 40-year-old player has yet to give his agreement for the future and is awaiting clear signals from the management. Meanwhile, Calciomercato reports that Milan is close to reaching an agreement for Mario Gila, defender of SS Lazio. The Roman club is said to be asking around 25 million euros for a player still under contract until 2027.
