Raja Casablanca's management is facing a real risk of losing their experienced defender, Abdallah Khafifi, following the breakdown in negotiations to renew his contract with the club.

Abdellah Khafifi targeted by a Kuwaiti club

According to media sources, the Kuwaiti club Al Kuwait is closely monitoring the player with the intention of signing him during the summer transfer window, especially after the imminent departure of their Moroccan defender Amin Aboulfath, who is expected to join Wydad.

This interest from the Kuwaiti side stems from their desire to fill a gap in their defense. It is worth noting that Al Kuwait has already called upon several Moroccan players from Wydad, such as Yahya Jebrane and Arsène Zola.

Abdallah Khafifi joined Raja in the summer of 2022, after a professional spell with Qatari club Umm Salal. Despite his considerable experience, Raja's management was unable to meet his financial demands, particularly a bonus of $400,000, a figure considered too high for a 34-year-old player.

Meanwhile, Raja Casablanca has recently succeeded in extending the contracts of several key players like Mohamed Bouksout, Saber Bougrine, and Adam Nafati, in a bid to ensure sporting stability for the upcoming season.
