Newcastle enters the race for Omar Marmoush
The future of Omar Marmoush at Manchester City remains uncertain. After struggling for playing time last season, the Egyptian international is already attracting interest from several English clubs.
According to TEAMtalk, Newcastle United have inquired about the situation of the 27-year-old striker. The Magpies thus join Tottenham, who have been monitoring the player for several weeks. After arriving at Manchester City in January 2025 from Eintracht Frankfurt, Marmoush made an immediate impact, scoring 7 goals in 16 Premier League appearances during his opening months. However, last season proved to be far more challenging.
He featured in just 21 league matches, starting only 8 times, tallying 3 goals and 3 assists. Despite the growing interest, Omar Marmoush has not ruled out the possibility of staying at Manchester City. The player reportedly wants to first hear from new head coach Enzo Maresca regarding his role and future in the squad before making any decisions. Under contract until 2029, the Egyptian is also on the radar of several German clubs.
