Changes are exactly what Wydad Casablanca fans are demanding after a disappointing season in which the Moroccan club failed to secure any silverware.

The third-placed team in the Moroccan Botola is still uncertain about the status of several players ahead of the resumption of training. Preparations for the new season are set to begin on July 9.

The management has yet to make a decision regarding the contracts of Thembinkosi Lorch, the left winger on loan from Mamelodi Sundowns, and Mehdi Moubarik, the defensive midfielder on loan from Al-Ain. Both players delivered impressive performances for the Red Castle this season.

On the other hand, the club is preparing to overhaul its squad, with no fewer than nine players set to depart, especially after the disappointment at the 2025 FIFA Club World Cup.

Burkinabé Stéphane Aziz Ki, Dutchman Bart Meijers, and Brazilian Guilherme Ferreira remain question marks ahead of the new campaign.
