Union Saint-Gilloise: Relebohile Mofokeng already has three Pro League goals
Relebohile Mofokeng continues to settle in at Union Saint-Gilloise. The young South African international scored his third Pro League goal on Saturday against Lommel, helping his team to a convincing 5-0 victory.
Mofokeng opened his account in the league on his very first appearance. Coming on in the 60th minute against Westerlo on the opening matchday, he scored four minutes later to help Union secure a 5-1 win.
Decisive from his first starts
After several appearances off the bench, the forward made his first league start on September 2 away to Sint-Truiden. He took advantage of the opportunity by scoring Union's third goal in a 3-0 victory.
A week later, he did it again. Starting against Lommel, Mofokeng found the net in the seventh minute before being substituted in the 64th minute. According to iDiski Times, the goal was his third in the league and his second in his first two league starts.
His output is particularly notable given his limited playing time. The South African initially featured mainly as a substitute before gradually earning a place in the starting XI.

A quick adaptation after Orlando Pirates
Mofokeng joined Union Saint-Gilloise in the summer of 2026 after his spell with Orlando Pirates. At just 21, he is experiencing European football for the first time, and his start to the season has already been marked by several decisive contributions.
His first games in Belgium have highlighted his rapid rise in the team's hierarchy. After initially being used as an attacking substitute, he earned back-to-back league starts and scored in both.
His goal against Lommel further confirmed that progress. In his first season in Belgium, Mofokeng has already shown an efficiency that is helping him establish himself in Union Saint-Gilloise's plans.
