Liverpool: Hugo Ekitike finally breaks his silence after serious injury

After an impressive debut season at Liverpool, Hugo Ekitike suffered a severe injury on Tuesday night during the Champions League. He will be sidelined for at least nine months. The Frenchman has now responded.

Hugo Ekitike's Achilles tendon rupture occurred against PSG, his former club. As a result, the Liverpool Reds striker's dreams of playing in the 2026 World Cup with the French national team have been dashed.

"It's tough, maybe even unfair... but I am grateful that it's happening to me here, among all of you. I am not alone. Your strength and love will be my driving force. See you soon, Anfield," he posted on his social media.
