The Ivorian international Nicolas Pépé is leading the way in the ranking of the best dribblers in the Spanish championship (La Liga).

The 31-year-old winger has been playing for Villarreal CF since 2024, with his contract running until 2028.

According to statistics from the specialist site Sofascore, he’s the player who has completed the most dribbles in this edition of La Liga, with 7 successful dribbles, ahead of Iñigo Vicente (Athletic Bilbao), Ramón Terrats (Getafe), and Carlos Puga (Málaga CF), each with 6 dribbles.

For the record, Nicolas Pépé started for the Yellow Submarine in the opening two rounds, scoring a goal on matchday one against Racing Club de Santander.

The breakthrough season for Nicolas Pépé

The native of Mantes-la-Jolie, France, impressed last season by netting 8 goals and providing 10 assists in 36 La Liga appearances.

This stellar performance earned him a recall to the Elephants squad for the latest edition of the 2026 World Cup.

It's a remarkable comeback for the Ivorian winger, who struggled to make an impact during his spells at Arsenal, then OGC Nice and Trabzonspor.

This had a negative effect on his market value, which dropped dramatically to 6 million euros today, down from a peak of 75 million euros in 2019.
