Transfer market: Arsenal joins Manchester United in the race for Ismaïla Sarr

Arsenal has entered the race to sign Ismaïla Sarr. Already tracked by Manchester United, the Senegalese winger from Crystal Palace is now also on the Gunners' radar, setting the stage for a possible showdown between the two English giants in this summer’s transfer window.

Ismaïla Sarr is coming off the best season of his career. In the Premier League, he netted 9 goals in 28 appearances for Crystal Palace. The former Watford man was also a key architect of the Eagles’ historic UEFA Europa Conference League triumph, finishing as the tournament’s top scorer and being named player of the competition.

Across all competitions, the Senegal international surpassed the 20-goal mark in the 2025-2026 campaign—a performance that has naturally drawn the attention of several of Europe’s top clubs.

While no agreement has been reached yet, Arsenal now appears determined to challenge Manchester United in the battle to land one of Senegalese football’s hottest properties.
