Transfer window: Mory Diaw set to leave Le Havre for Al-Shabab

Senegal international goalkeeper Mory Diaw is preparing to move to Saudi Arabia after spending a season at Le Havre. According to L'Equipe, he is expected to sign his contract with Al-Shabab this Monday.

Mory Diaw's departure from Le Havre is now finalized. Having arrived in Normandy in the summer of 2025, the 32-year-old goalkeeper will continue his career in the Saudi Pro League with Al-Shabab, where his signing will be made official after the contract is signed.

One last appearance on the bench for Le Havre

Diaw was still included in Le Havre's squad on Sunday for the home match against Monaco. However, the Senegalese didn't feature in the game, which HAC lost 1-0. With his move already confirmed, he took no chances ahead of his departure to Saudi Arabia.

After a season in Normandy, the keeper is set to discover a new league and a new project. He joins one of Saudi football’s historic clubs, which is aiming to bounce back after finishing 13th in the Saudi Pro League last season.

Diaw joins Thomas Partey and Yacine Adli

At Al-Shabab, Mory Diaw will reunite with several familiar faces from European football. The club already boasts Yacine Adli and Yannick Carrasco in its squad, while former Arsenal and Atlético Madrid midfielder Thomas Partey has also just signed with the Saudi side.

Diaw’s arrival is part of a recruitment drive focused on experienced players, with the aim of helping Al-Shabab climb back up the table. For the Senegalese international, this new chapter is also an opportunity to take his career to another level after his stint at Le Havre.
