The round of 16 at CAN 2025 kicks off tomorrow, Saturday. Benin will face Egypt next Monday at 4pm GMT. To fire up the Cheetahs, a major promise has been made by the Federation.

According to local sources, the President of the Beninese Football Federation has put a massive incentive on the line to motivate his squad ahead of the round of 16 clash with Egypt this coming Monday. In fact, De Chacus has reportedly announced an exceptional bonus of 300,000 euros (around 196.7 million FCFA) for the Cheetahs if they qualify for the quarter-finals in this CAN 2025.

This promise now puts Benin in prime conditions, turning this sporting objective into a genuine historic challenge backed by unprecedented financial commitment. The stakes are now sky-high for the crucial face-off against Egypt, scheduled for Monday, January 5 at 4pm GMT.
