Despite England’s qualification for the semi-finals of this 2026 World Cup, Thomas Tuchel was unimpressed with their quarter-final performance against Norway (2-1 after extra time).

Unjustified criticism for Jude Bellingham. The Real Madrid midfielder didn’t hesitate to set his manager straight!

“Does his statement show our high standards? Maybe… Or maybe he doesn’t know what it’s like to play in these kinds of conditions against Erling Haaland, Ødegaard, Nusa, Sørloth… This is not an easy team to face. We tried to create a positive atmosphere. We have to keep this momentum going as we head into the semi-finals. I can’t praise these guys enough. You don’t win every match just by keeping possession and completing a thousand passes. Sometimes you have to grind out a win, and that’s exactly what we did.”, Bellingham said.
