On Saturday night, Norway was knocked out by England (1-2 after extra time) in the quarter-finals of this 2026 World Cup.
However, Norway is struggling to come to terms with several refereeing decisions during this quarter-final. Speaking to DAZN, Alf-Inge Haaland, Erling Haaland's father, strongly criticized Clément Turpin's performance.
"Today, it was the referee who won. (...) We saw the goal disallowed for Torbjorn Heggem, controversial decisions throughout the match, and every key call seemed to go England's way. At this level, it's these moments that change the course of a match," said the former Norwegian international.
