This symbolic gesture took place on the sidelines of the clash between the Parisian club and Chelsea, during the first leg of the 2025–2026 UEFA Champions League Round of 16.

Seated in the stands of the Parc des Princes, Eto'o witnessed this European blockbuster. The capital club seized the moment to pay tribute to one of the greatest players in African football history.

Before kick-off, the former Inter Milan and FC Barcelona striker received an official PSG jersey from the club’s management, presented as a symbolic birthday gift.
